Coaching

Tennis lessons at Lake Pupuke Club are run by our Head Coach Daniel and his qualified team of coaches. It is one of the only clubs on the North Shore wherein the entire coaching team is experienced and qualified. Below you can find the different group tennis classes offered each term as well as school holiday tennis programme information. If you would like to sign up for any of these programmes please click into the registration link below or contact Daniel directly. Private coaching (individual or group) is also available. 

Coach Daniel is an internationally qualified coach with over 15 year’s experience running coaching programmes for all ages and levels across New Zealand and overseas. He has competed internationally and continues to play at a high level. Regardless of whether you are a complete beginner or a high-performance player, Daniel and his fantastic team of qualified coaches will help you bring your game to the next level in a fun and motivating environment!

Junior Coaching

8 week programme per term

Wednesday

  • 3:30-4:15pm | 5-11 year olds
  • 4:15-5:15pm | 10-17 year olds

Thursday

  • 3:30-4:15pm | 5-11 year olds
  • 4:15-5:15pm | 10-17 year olds

Saturday

  • 9:15-10:00am | 8-11 year olds 
  • 10:00-10:45am | 9-12 year olds
  • 10:45-11:30am | 10-13 year olds

Prices for term coaching

  • 1 Term of 45-minute junior group lessons: $175 ($165 for club members)
  • 1 Term of 1-hour junior group lessons: $195 ($185 for club members)

Holiday Programme

Dates:

  • 7th - 10th July, 2025

Sessions:

  • 9am-12pm | 5-9 year olds
  • 1pm-4pm | 10-17 year olds

Prices for term coaching

  • $190 for all 4days ($180 for junior club members)
  • $55 per day ($50 for junior club members)

Adult Group Lessons

A tennis programme that covers all the technical and tactical fundamentals of the game. Learn through lots of fun drills!

8-week programme per term

  • Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm (intermediate level)
  • Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm (beginner/novice level)

Prices for term coaching

  • 1 Term of 1-hour group adult lessons: $195 ($185 for club members)

The lessons will always be on unless coach Daniel contacts you via text to postpone.

Payment

Coaching fees are payable directly to Daniel. Payment can be made in cash or via online banking to Daniel Millward.

Terms & Conditions

1. TERM PROGRAMME LENGTH

Each term is an 8 week programme starting on the first week of the term. This allows for one or two weather postponements each term.

2. WEATHER

Lessons will always be on unless Daniel texts to let you know it has been postponed.

3. RACKETS

Rackets can be borrowed if needed or purchased at a discounted rate from Daniel.

4. LATE CANCELLATION FEE

There is a $25 cancellation fee per enrolled student for late cancellations (anytime from 1 week before the programme begins). This is to cover administrative costs for managing booking and queries and also because it is generally too late to replace your spot, which your booking has reserved. 

5. Private lessons

At least 24 hours notice must be given for cancellations. Less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% and no-shows will be charged in full.

6. Medical & Liability

I hereby authorise Daniel and his team of coaches to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. I release Daniel Millward Coaching from any liability for injury or illness and costs incurred from a lesson.

7. Payment due by the start date of the programme enrolled in
